My favorite deck is the Deviant Moon Tarot! I made a video on YouTube showing it off after my boyfriend bought it for me 2 years ago now. It is the only deck that I can truly read without a book, and has greatly increased my intuition and skills with the Tarot. It is a little macabre, or gothic, in its imagery but for me that made it easier to connect with. I highly suggest looking out for this deck- and the companion deck which is supposed to be released in the near future

I remember that vid. That deck looks kinda freaky to me to be honest lol. Somebody crawling out of someones.....area was a little much lol. I don't think I could read with it even if I tried. I'm more a rider waite kinda person although I like the thoth deck also. I am thinking about looking up the cosmic tarot cuz I love the backs

Eek! Rider-Waite presents so many blocks to my mind. I know that most decks derive their artistic depictions from it, but it is just too....mleh XD

Why does the waite decks give you blocks? I guess they are kinda unrelatable. I would rather stick with it and learn with it cuz once you can read that type then you can pretty much read any deck you like as most are clones. I wouldnt be able to read with the vision tarot I dont think. Too much like looking in a magazine or something lol.

I think that is exactly the reason Phoenix- it is unrelatable, and doesn't allow my intuition to give deeper meanings than those initially intended. The Deviant Moon, on the other hand, has lush imagery and a whole lot of latent symbolism (the moons in the background, the clocks, etc) and allows you to really roam for the meaning. It is like a combo Oracle and Tarot deck

That is true. There is alot of symbolism in decks so you would need to relate to it in some way or your mind is too busy trying to see that it doesnt see anything at all.

I have the Robin Wood deck myself. It's pretty Rider-Waite, but with enough paganity thrown in that I have an easier time interpreting the cards. I don't use it often though, so I still use the little cheat-booklet... then again, I guess I'd rather just use it when I really need to see what my subconscious is up to. I dream a lot too, so that's another way to check in on how I'm really doing at any given time.

I tend not to look at those little white books as I feel they dont tell you anything at all and would probs do more harm to your learning than good. But if you only use it every now and then then the white book would be all you would need. If you was doing readings for yourself daily or for loads of people then you would need more than the booklet. Yeah the robin would is a paganish rider waite clone. I love their backs!

I mainly read with the anna k tarot, its my day to day deck for all reading (when i am reading, not so much lately) Before i had the anna k i did most of my readings with the forest folklore tarot by Kessia Beverley-Smith. I also have The Deviant Moon but not had a chance to really work with it yet but i like the images.

I normally use my pink deck when doing readings, I have no bloody clue who did them but they are a Rider-Waite clone.
At the moment I have no clue where they or the book the came with are so right now I'm using The Arthurian Tarot I bought two years ago, actually the funny thing with that is that deck came with an extra Moon card. The Arthurian tarot is close to being a Rider-Waite clone but it has it's own little quarks; the only thing I don't like about it is that they are still too new so when shuffling the sides hurt my palms, they also don't like me.
I'm also trying to find a replacement deck for my pink one because they are getting pretty banged up and ratty.
